OVER 85 All drivers 85 years or older must pass a driving test every two years to maintain their licence. To make life easier for our older citizens the RTA have made Assessments available in their local area. ACCREDITED ASSESSORS These Assessments are conducted by Accredited Assessors appointed by the RTA. Trent has selected senior driver trainers, with experience with older drivers to be their Accredited Assessors. LOCAL AREA The advantage in this, is that the assessment may be conducted in the applicants car, in the local area. Trent Assessors will consult with the applicant and select an area that is familiar with the applicant. TEST PREPARATION If the applicant wants it, (it is recommended) the assessor will spend time, as a driving instructor, and show the applicants the test requirements. Trent Assessors / Trainers are familiar with all the local areas and can quickly give all the clues and driving procedures to pass the assessment. |
