Up to now many parents have struggled with the task of teaching
their teenager to drive, and more often than not, the task
can prove to be stressful and dangerous.
With
the introduction of the log book system, the learner driver
is required to do a minimum of 50 hours of practice in a variety
of situations. This is a very positive step towards increasing
the safety of our young drivers, however this does put more
stress on the home tutor.
To
assist the home tutor, Trent Driving School launched their
Teen Teach seminars to help parents survive the task of teaching
their teenager to drive, and turn it into a pleasant and rewarding
experience.
What
you will learn in the presentation?

What you will learn in the presentation . . .
The seminar covers what to teach, how to teach it and
where to teach it. Parents
are shown the manner, sequence, topics and places most suitable
for new drivers.
Information
is also provided to help parents understand
the log book system and
work through it successfully. More importantly, information
is supplied on the safety elements that should be considered
by all driving tutors. Parents need to teach their teenagers
not only to drive but to survive.
Trent has been presenting their successful Young
Driver Survival programme in high schools (SEE OUR INFO SECTION)
for the past 13 years,
and Teen Teach provides parents with the same road
safety strategies so they can ensure that the right skills
are reinforced at home.
There
are Teen Teach seminars being held throughout Sydney each
month. Contact your local Trent
Office
to find out the dates and locations.
