Keys2Drive was a Federal Government-funded road safety program that delivered over 750,000 free driving lessons to learner drivers and their supervisors. Since launching in 2009, it offered a unique opportunity for learners, instructors, and parents to learn together—combining 30 minutes of road safety theory with 30 minutes of practical driving.
As of 31 March 2023, the Keys2Drive program has officially ceased operations. Despite strong participation and positive feedback, independent evaluations found no measurable improvement in long-term road safety outcomes.
