About Currumbin Valley, QLD
Nestled in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, Currumbin Valley is a picturesque rural locality that borders New South Wales. As of the 2021 census, it boasts a population of 2,084 residents. The valley, part of the Gold Coast hinterland, stretches approximately twenty-four kilometres in length and about four kilometres in width, offering a mix of rural and residential lands, though it remains predominantly rural.
Currumbin Valley is renowned for its natural beauty, being the first valley north of the escarpment of Australia’s Green Cauldron, with Mount Warning marking the cauldron’s temple in the Murwillumbah region to the south. The main thoroughfare, Currumbin Creek Road, winds 20 kilometres west to the Mt Cougal Section of Springbrook National Park, culminating in a World-Heritage-Listed rainforest walk, the Cougal Cascades, and a rich tapestry of native flora and fauna.
